General Industrial Permit

The Industrial General Permit regulates industrial storm water discharges and authorized non-storm water discharges from industrial facilities in California. With the implementation of the Industrial Storm Water General Permit effective as of July 1st 2015 and its amendments revisions to existing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) must be made to address their requirements. The new Permit requires more monitoring, sampling and includes Numeric Action Levels (NALs) for certain pollutants. Visit the website to view the information on the General Industrial Permit.

Reed & Graham has been working with manufacturers to address these needs and are pleased to offer the following products to help maintain acceptable levels of pollutants.

Products to address new requirements of the General Industrial Permit

Filtrexx Envirosoxx are available to help in the removal of pollutants from stormwater runoff. The Industrial Blend addresses heavy metals, hydrocarbons, nutrients and general pollutants. The Advanced Blend also addresses bacteria like E. coli and coliforms. Please use the link to the manufacturers website for a listing of the Pollutants and the Removal Rates that are best addressed with these products. The manufacturer offers their assistance in determining the proper solution for your specific requirements.

BioLoxx is a 100% biobased product that is engineered to protect workers and the environment by absorbing oils and lubricants from spills and equipment leaks. A 25-pound bag will absorb about 12 gallons of petroleum-based oil. Use up to 75% less BioLoxx than clay-based products, by volume, and not have the health hazards associated with clay dust for your spill clean up.

Permanent Inlet Protection for Pollutant Control

Unlike the temporary inlet bags used for sediment control, the permanent inlet filters are made to order to fit into any drainage structure to assure treatment of all runoff. Filter media options are available to address hydrocarbons, heavy metals, sediments and other organics from stormwater and industrial runoff.

Filtrexx® StormExx® CLEAN is a catch basin filter insert designed to fit any existing storm water drain system. It provides a solution for areas where placing a Soxx unit around inlets is problematic, inconvenient or possibly dangerous. Besides water runoff, streets and parking lots carry a lot of debris and contaminants that could pollute storm drain systems and eventually the natural sources of water such as rivers and streams where the stormwater runoff is discharged. The StormExx CLEAN has a filter that collects pollutants from stormwater and requires periodical replacement. Post treatment water samples can be collected without removing the StormExx insert.

The Ultra-Hydrokleen Inlet Filter removes hydrocarbons, heavy metals, sediments and other organics from stormwater and industrial runoff. Available sampling option is a convenient and effective means to obtain samples of the post-treatment effluent from the Ultra-HydroKleen to comply with monitoring and testing requirements.

Spill Containment Products

We offer spill containment products ranging from small pop-up units for small spills to large drive on units for full truck containment. Because of the wide variety of applications and sizes, these products are special order items shipped direct to your site from the manufacturer. Here’s a few links to the products we have available:

Eliminate the problems of contamination from onsite drum usage with these spill pallets and decks for your storage needs. Hard top storage units provide protection from contamination cause by rain or wind.

A full line of easily installed berms with sizes ranging from totes and mobile generators to full truck and equipment containment. Flexible or solid wall with drive in and out capabilities.

Features a full line of products to help stop contamination and clean up spills. From small flexible berms to floating booms to collect hydrocarbons to fast-acting microbes that “digest” hydrocarbons.
